Frequently Asked Questions

If you can’t find the answer to your question below then please email us at info@tribalheartsfestival.co.uk and we will be happy to help!

1. ARRIVING

Sat navs should take you to the exact place. The festival is in Henlow, Bedfordsire, near the church and primary school.

2. Where is the festival?

Tribal Hearts 2021 will take place at Boyd Campsite, Henlow, Bedfordshire, SG16 6AN. It is a beautiful venue with plenty of green space for kids to run around. There is an existing kids play area, lots of trees, plenty of space to camp (and socially distance if necessary) and permanent toilets and showers. There is some open water which we will do our best to highlight / cordon off, but we cannot fence the whole thing off and it may even be used for some activities, so please stay with little children at all times. The site is big and there are other spaces you can relax with little ones and let them run free!

3. Is there parking on site?

Yes, parking is close to the campsite and to the festival for day ticket holders. Parking is free. We do recommend bringing a festival trolley / garden trolley if you have one, to transport camping gear from car to pitch.

4. Do I need to print my ticket?
Just show us the booking confirmation on your phone to save paper. If you are on the deposit scheme you will need to have proof of all 4 instalments.

5. What time does the festival open?
On Friday 13th August the campsite will open at 12pm, but this is really a setting up and settling in day, with a few activities late afternoon. The main festival area will open until 10pm on Friday. Saturday and Sunday the festival area opens at 8.00am for breakfast (activities from 9am) until 10.30pm.

Saturday tickets can arrive at 9am onwards and stay until the end of the schedule. No Sunday day tickets are available this year.

5. What time does the festival end?
On Monday 16th August you will be required to leave by 11am. Breakfast and coffee will be available from 8am but the main festival area will close at 10am.

6. Is there a train station nearby?

The closest train stations are Arlesy, Baldock and Letchworth Garden City. You would need to find your way from here.

7. Will there be cash on site?
There will not be ATM’s on site, so please bring plenty of cash. You can leave site during the weekend though if you need to, just show your wristband on return.

8. Can we bring BBQ’s and camping stoves?

You are welcome to use camping stoves and BBQ’s but please be responsible, keep them raised off of the ground and be aware of children playing and nearby tents.

9. Can I bring my own alcohol?

This year we are making the festival a BYO event! This means there won’t be a bar, but you may bring your own alcohol. We encourage you to bring reusable cups but not glass, and where possible consider decanting alcohol from any glass bottles before entering the festival area. We appreciate your cooperation with this due to the risk of broken glass. There will be recycling bins around site and in the campsite for any bottles.

1o. What are the camping facilities like?
There will be permanent toilets and showers located a short walk from the campsite. There will also be some extra mobile toilets around the festival site. There are washing up facilities. Water is available all around the festival site. Please bring a reusable bottle!

11. Can I bring my camper van?

Yes, there is an extra charge of £24 for this. Limited spaces and no electric hook up available.

12. Can we buy day tickets?
You can come for the day on SATURDAY. Saturday tickets are available on the ticket page. Sunday is for campers only this year and will include various family / group activities as a celebration at the end of a magical weekend.

13. Will there be medical services on site?
Yes there will be 24 hour first aid on site.

14. Can we leave and re-enter the site during the weekend?
Yes, as long as you show us your wristband when you come back, and you come back within the specified opening times.

15. Are dogs allowed?
No, sorry, no dogs allowed except guide dogs.

16. Can I push a buggy/wheelchair around the site?
We recommend you bring a sling for ease. There may be areas that are more difficult to access with a buggy or wheelchair. If you do bring a buggy an all terrain would be best, as the festival is all on grass. We will endeavour to make the festival as inclusive and in general the festival area this year is very flat. We can reserve a disabled parking space and a pitch close to the festival area for those who need it. Please get in touch if you feel you may require assistance.

17. Will there be baby changing facilities?
There will be a small, clean and comfy baby changing area with mats in the main festival area.

18. What food will there be? I have dietary requirements.

We try to cater for everybody whilst keeping the ethos of the festival in mind. We focus on plant based options and most caterers will be able to cater for people with allergies. It is difficult to completely guarantee no cross contamination, therefore if you have very severe allergies we do recommend you bring plenty of your own food. If you are worried about this please get in touch. We are a very small festival so we only have a couple of main caterers, as well as a coffee stall and ice cream van. We would love to offer more variety but hope you can understand that we do not have the footfall to do this and ensure a successful weekend for our caterers.

19. Will there be phone charging facilities?

There isn’t an allocated charging point, we all need time unplugged every now and then! We recommend you bring battery packs, but there will be somewhere you can leave your phone subject to availability, however this may be unattended.

20. Is there wifi available?

No there is no wifi but there should be 3G signal.

21. I want to be involved in the festival.
If you would like to run a workshop, are in a band, have a stall or catering business please email info@tribalheartsfestival.co.uk

22. I want to volunteer at the festival.
We are looking for great volunteers! There will be various jobs to do and we are relying on fantastic people like yourselves to make it work. You will get plenty of time to enjoy the festival too. If you want to volunteer at the festival please email info@tribalheartsfestival.co.uk
